Wood Dome Construction
Dome Designer can automatically
generate a plan for a dome constructed out of wood. These domes are made with
wooden struts and, typically,
plywood vertices that
are all screwed together. The struts are typically cut with a
square cross-section on a table saw out of board wood, or they
can be bought ready-cut to the desired cross section (e.g., by
using 2-by-2's). A typical wood style dome looks like this:
